Dear Valued Customer and Friends,
At Zorn’s of Bethpage, we are committed to keeping all of our friends and customers informed relating to the construction of our new building and store. If you have been to the store or driven by, you will see that there has been a lot of construction activity. We have made significant progress over the past few months and we are planning to complete construction in the late winter or spring of 2019.
Many people have asked about what the new store will look like. To your right you will see our rendering. I have also included images of how our store and building have transformed over the past 80 years.
We are open for business and we are preparing for another amazing and happy holiday season. All Long Islanders should know that everything that they have come to know and love about Zorn’s of Bethpage – our quality, freshness, traditional recipes and friendly staff – will all remain exactly the same.
I have been personally involved in the design of the building and kitchen. I hope that all our customers will like what they see. We have listened to your ideas and suggestions. I am very pleased to let you know that the new store will have a small inside dining area.
As you can see from the images from the past, the colors as well as the design used for the new building were done in keeping with my family’s history and legacy.
This has been an emotional time for me. The buildings where my brothers and I played as children and worked alongside my grandfather are now part of the area where construction is taking place. While we will miss the old buildings, I hope that my grandfather would be proud of what I am doing and the fact that I am keeping all of my amazing staff, which I consider my family. We know that everyone is excited and eager to work in a new, state-of-the-art facility.
The pouring of the concrete for the foundation was a very important step in the progress of the transformation. Earlier this year, I took part in the partial demolition of the buildings, including some that were once used as chicken pens.
The demolition and excavation process was led by my cousins, Kevin and Michael Zorn, owners of Zorn Industries. It was hard to watch the removal of our buildings. However, having my cousins involved and doing the work made it much easier for me. Over the coming months, Zorn Industries will continue be involved with the construction.
The Zorn’s of Bethpage Family thanks you for your support and we look forward to continuing to serve our neighbors and families as we embark on this thrilling new chapter in our history.
Over the next few months, construction will continue and we will be issuing newsletters, posting images, information and details here and on our Facebook page facebook.com/zornsbethpage and Instagram account @zornsofbethpage – please like and follow us to stay on top of the latest news and happenings.
